The word justice means to give to someone what is owing to him or her. Many people think of justice as being fair to others. We an describe a just society as one that gives its members what they deserve, not as a gift or charity, but as a right. People deserve to betreated with respect and dignity at all times. People deserve to feel that they are part of a community.
